Florida State University

The Florida State University (FSU) College of Business has a variety of MBA formats for different kinds of students. Ideal for online learners are the Online Part-time MBA and Online Part-time MBA with Real estate Specialization programs.

Both consist of 39 units and are taught by FSU faculty. While the former highlights skills that are applicable to today’s workplace, the latter incorporates electives that are focused on real estate analysis and finance.

FSU offers different course options if you want to specialize in fields besides real estate.

Florida State University College of Business’ online MBA program is all about flexibility. Its 100% Internet-based is ideal for distance learning. It is the choice of military personnel and professionals who want to earn a graduate degree, but cannot commit to attending classes on campus for the duration of the program.

FSU offers several types of MBA format, two of which are online. The Part-time Online MBA and Part-time Online MBA with Real Estate Specialization both consists of 39 units and may be started during either the spring, summer, or fall semesters. They are both taught by FSU’s renowned faculty as well.

The former is focused on developing skills that can be readily applied to your work. It is an affordable 7-semester program that allows you to pursue a specialization of your choice. Your four course options are Business-to-Business Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Fundamentals of Risk and Insurance, and Investment Management and Analysis. Specializations in Management Information Systems or Risk Management and Insurance are also available, but are subject to the approval of the program director.

The Online Part-time MBA with Specialization in Real Estate is like the basic online MBA format, but is geared towards a specific specialization from the start. It focuses on developing your knowledge and experience in real estate finance and analysis.

The FSU Online MBA Program does not have any prerequisites, but as an applicant, you are expected to have general knowledge of economics, finance, accounting, statistics, calculus, and management principles. You must also have completed a bachelor’s degree from any regionally accredited institution.

You must submit an applicant statement, your current curriculum vitae, two recommendation letters, and an application fee. Also required are your transcripts from all the universities you attended, a Florida Resident Afiidavit if it applies, and official GMAT/GRE and TOEFL/IELTS scores if applicable. The last is especially crucial if you are an international student. GMAT/GRE tests can also be waived if you meet particular criteria.

The Online MBA Program at FSU is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
