University of Florida
The University of Florida was one of the first to offer a fully accredited online degree through its MBA Program. Today, UF MBA is considered one of the best in the world by Financial Times and U.S. News & World Report.
The UF MBA program can be completed in two ways: a 27-month Online Two Year option and a 16-month One Year option. Like UF’s other full-time programs, you will need at least two years of professional working experience to qualify for both options.
Completion of the online program entitles you to a full Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida.
The University of Florida MBA program was counted among the best in the world by both Financial Times and U.S. News & World Report. If you enter and complete the program, you will be given a Master of Business Administration degree accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The online MBA program is ideal for people who may have personal and professional commitments over the period of a conventional MBA experience. If you are looking to move to another location or travel abroad in the next two years, this option will allow you to still earn your MBA. You’re good to go as long as you have been working professionally for at least two years.
The University of Florida offers two MBA options. The first, the 27-month Two Year option, is open to any undergraduate major, but is recommended for business undergraduate majors who have been working professionally for more than seven years. It consists of 48 credits. The program aims to help students build a strong foundation in core business areas, including finance, marketing, management, operations and economics.
The One Year option lasts 16 months and consists of 32 credits. It is open to individuals who earned their business undergraduate degree within the last seven years. The program is condensed, recognizing that students have already learned their core business courses, such as Micro and Macroeconomics, Marketing Principles, and Management Principles, to name a few, during their undergraduate studies.
Students in both options can choose one area of focus out of four: Entrepreneurship, Finance, International, and Marketing. By Term 6, they will need to select four electives. They also choose the format by which these electives will be completed. Online means completing the lessons as it was in Terms 1-5 for four months, One Week means spending a week in the Gainesville campus to complete the course, and Global Immersion Experience (GIE) means spending a week in an international study trip.
Applicants must submit the online MBA registration form. After this, they must complete their application to the UF Office of Admissions. At this time, they may also email their résumé, send their official transcripts, and submit two recommendation letters. The next step is to complete the UF MBA Supplemental application and submit their test scores (GMAT and GRE, when applicable). International students will have to submit proof of English proficiency if English is not their native language.
